Great video, especially the aerial camera shots. Paris is certainly highly industrialised and not much wide open spaces there. I took a moped from Calais to Paris in 1970…would like to return and take this train…

I love travelling …
I love travelling on the Eurostar trains – get on at St Pancras in London and get off at La Gare du Nord in Paris just over 2 hours later and in reverse coming back.

That brings back memories. I was on duty in the I.E.C.C that day and I remember all the top bods watching its progress and making sure it didn’t get held up!

lol, the smooth …
lol, the smooth ride will blow you away so much, that when it comes to the tunnel, if you’re still a bit scared, then you can close your eyes and all you will hear is a slight change in noise.

Interesting video. …
Interesting video. If this is the official video, it has terrible out-of-sequence video editing, as bad as the BBC.
If only Eurostar PR department stopped thinking they are such a special service, especially when compared to superior Thalys / TGV / ICE PR who let you do decent filming and without the Eurostar “we’re better than you” attitude.

For long the rails …
For long the rails on the english side have been in an awful quality compared to those on the mainland side. From this video I can tell they did invested money in the Eurostar after all.

im confused, it goes into the Eurotunnel at 3:20, is that the French side coz it does look alot like the English side, and when it comes out it looks like its coming out in Dartford, when it actually comes out at Cheriton in Folkestone….

How odd. The Eurostar enters the tunnel in France at the channel, and exits in England over 50 miles inland at the M25 in Essex. WOW that is some tunnel!! Very nice video none the less.
