I once booked a eurostar train directly through their site thinking this would be cheapest – no third party fees etc.
However, I made the mistake of checking AFTER booking on the lastminute.com site – they were much cheaper. I have used them ever since. Also check out their leisure (business class) fares – they could be more reasonable than you think. Their last minute hotel and train deals can be amazing – I have booked a deal for my parents last year.
Otherwise hotelclub.com can be very good.

lastminute.com are good. enroute.com can be booked online but if you email them they will phone you back and you will often find that you get an upgrade to 1st class at no extra cost
